C-W Valley Co-op is a locally owned cooperative formed by the merger of Comstock Farmers Elevator and Wolverton Farmers Elevator in August of 1999. We are a full service cooperative that includes grain, fertilizer, fuel, chemical, seed, and agronomy services. Grain facilities located in Comstock and Wolverton have a combined storage capability of 2.4 million bushels. An 8,300 ton fertilizer plant north of Wolverton allows us to offer blending, delivery, and custom application of dry fertilizer. Agronomy services are managed out of our facility west of Comstock. Our bulk fuel plant is located west of Comstock and we have retail cardtrol pumps located at Comstock and Wolverton.

New crop wheat will have samples submitted for vomitoxin and falling number tests. Results from some of the first wheat samples have been high in vomitoxin. There seems to be a high correlation of higher vomitoxin in wheat that was not fungicided. The lower vomitoxins have come from treated fields. If your wheat is high in vomitoxin we recommend that you bin it and we will try to work with it at a later time.
Dry conditions covered almost all primary crop areas Wednesday afternoon. The only moisture of note was isolated mixed precipitation in the far Northern Plains and southern Prairies. Temperatures ranged from the mid-30s in northern North Dakota and southern Manitoba to the upper 80s in southern Texas. » More DTN Weather Commentary
